from my new toy... olympus e420

i got my new toy yesterday... and i was so excited (still is - as i am continually discovering the superb photo quality that it produces). I have been rooting for this for months now. Since i saw its photo samples, it preoccupied me no end. i came across a travel blog whose photos made me wonder how the shots were made - the brilliance and the smoothness of the shots. it was more a wishful thinking of having the same camera used in the shots.

and it suddenly hit me one day, that i do indeed wanted to have this camera (probably brought about from too much stress - another story in itself). i started calculating and thinking on how i can have one. For one thing, i already have a point and shoot and a dslr, but it has already made a good grip of my yearning for better cam shoots... then i started researching.... it somehow got good reviews and was even compared to the top of the line camera (way too expensive for my amateurish purpose) of the same company with results that are somewhat similar - photo wise.

the next hurdle though was to know where i can get it locally... found the shop but they only have its earlier version (they were both released, i think, in the same year 2008 - marketing ploy? not so - as this camera can unload a lot of 'power' shots).

anyway, thanks to my wife - michelle - who grabbed one for me while on a lay over in singapore.

i went around the house and did test shots... here they are...

a jewel in sre ambel

after being bumped off from a foodshop for they ran out of food, i and my colleagues settled at another inexpensive alternative... when we had our fill of calories, i queried where we could have a relaxing time in this hot humid weather, thinking actually of a beach or a riverside oasis... this is the place where they brought me... a sight to behold...
